We have all seen the amazing Mrs. Gregory at work. She has been the perfect physical education teacher, teaching us great skills to have for the rest of our lives. Some students have also had the chance to work with her on a more serious level through their sports as well, since Mrs. Gregory is a rockstar and also balances being an athletic trainer. We can always see her in action at the football games in the fall, as most of the time if a player needs help stretching their muscles or gets injured, she is always there. Mrs. Gregory is the ultimate leader, as she strives to make Springfield High School a welcoming home to athletes.

Gregory began her amazing journey to SHS, believe it or not, during her own high school experience. Gregory is quite the athlete herself, and played soccer during high school. She eventually got injured playing, but she did not give up on her passion for sports. Gregory continued to assist her team, by helping her teammates become better players throughout the season. This led Gregory to realize how much she enjoyed helping others live out their athletic dreams, and in part kickstarted her journey to becoming an athletic trainer.

Working as an athletic trainer today, Gregory mentions that her favorite part is helping athletes; particularly, watching them grow during their sport injury journey, and seeing them return to their sport better than ever; as well as getting to know all of the amazing players she works with. Gregory and the athletes of SHS form such an excellent bond, she truly is the perfect addition to all sports teams.

Gregory stays busy not only with athletic training, but also balancing her PE teaching and home life with her amazing kids, what an inspiration! When asked which was your favorite sport to work, Gregory replied that she was in a never ending sports season, so she could not choose just one! Though she did mention that most of the fall season was spent with the football team, and winter with the girls basketball team, so she got especially close with those players… what a perfect little SHS family!

With this busy schedule, Gregory revealed that she is planning on stepping back from the athletic trainer position in the future, and staying as a PE teacher. While we will be sad to see Mrs. Gregory leaves the Friday night football game sidelines, we are glad to have had her as such the amazing athletic trainer she is for so long, and excited that she is staying as one of the best PE teachers SHS has ever had!
