With 2023 coming to a finish, let’s see what we have to look forward to in 2024:

A Leap Year

Everyone gets an extra day this year! Every four years February gets an extra day.

The Olympics and Paralympics

They both take place in Paris, France! Breaking, or break dancing, is debuting as a sport in these Olympics. It is also the first time that there are an equal amount of male and female athletes competing. 

New Movies

Some anticipated movies coming out this year:

  • Mean Girls: The Musical
  • Dune: Part Two
  • Inside Out 2

Total Solar Eclipse

There will be a solar eclipse on April 8! Parts of Mexico, the US, and Canada will get a chance to see it.

Mickey Mouse Goes Public…kinda

Steamboat Willie, the first, original Mickey Mouse, a copyrighted work, enters public domain this year. This means anyone can use it, share it, and mash it up.
